We have an Advisory Panel that meets annually to support and advise us in our work. Members of our Advisory Panel have a wide range of knowledge and expertise in relation to digital and social media, qualitative methods, public engagement and transdisciplinary research.

Anna is Forum Coordinator at the charity Breast Cancer Care.
CHRISTINE HINE – University of Surrey
Christine is a Reader at the University of Surrey. Her main research centres on the sociology of science and technology, including ethnographic studies of scientific culture, information technology and the Internet. HENRIETTA O’CONNOR – University of Leicester
Henrietta is Professor of Sociology at the University of Leicester. Her principal research interests focus on the Sociology of Work, in particular debates around transitions to and from the labour market She also has an active interest in research methods and her current work is based around the secondary analysis of qualitative data, qualitative longitudinal research and community restudies. RUTH PASSMAN – NHS England
Ruth is Deputy Director for Equality and Heath Inequalities at NHS England. She has enjoyed a diverse portfolio career spanning the voluntary, academic and public sectors, operating at Directorial and Chief Executive Level to establish and lead health renewal organisations. She has worked in the Department of Health and across government on the wider determinants of health agenda as Senior Health Policy Adviser/ Public Health Specialist. Ruth has worked at local, regional and national level promoting Equality and tackling Health Inequalities.

Masoud is a member of the Greater Manchester NHS Values Group, which works with groups in extreme circumstances who have, for example, lived experience of homelessness, addiction and being refugees, and brings insights to the project from a service user perspective.
BRIDGETTE WESSELS – University of Sheffield
Bridgette is a Reader in Digital Sociology at the University of Sheffield. She has extensive research experience in the area of digital communication in a wide range of areas, such as public sphere, the creative and cultural industries, media and new media, e-services, and in everyday life studies.
